The Parks and Recreation Commission has five voting members, all of whom are appointed by the City Council. The terms of the members are four (4) years. The Commission holds regular meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the following months at 6:00 pm: January, February, March, April, May, June, September, October and November. The meetings are held in the City Council Chambers at Banning City Hall located at 99 E. Ramsey Street, Banning CA 92220.
The Parks and Recreation Commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council, the Planning Commission, and the Parks and Recreation Director for the purpose of the review and formulation of rules, regulations, and policies for all parks and recreation programs and services. They are empowered to take initiative in planning for the present and future park and recreation needs of the residents of the City of Banning.
