Level 1 Charging
All plug-in vehicles come with a Level 1 charging cord that you can plug directly into a standard household 120-volt outlet. Charging will take longer at this level, giving approximately 5 miles of range/hour charged.

*BEU Inspection not needed for Level 1 Charging*

Level 2 Charging
A Level 2 Charger requires a charging station that is hard-wired or cord set compatible with a 240-volt outlet.  Charging is faster and varies from 12 to 80 miles of range/hour charged. 

*BEU Inspection and approval is required for Level 2 Charger installation. Panel upgrade may be required *

DC Fast Charging
The fastest level of charging is DC Fast Charging, providing up to      40 miles of range/10 minutes charged. DC Fast Charging is only         available at public charging stations and not allowed for               home installation.

*BEU only allows commercial/industrial DC Fast Charger installation*

 

Options for Charging on the Go!

Mini Charging Plaza
EV charging stationBanning has a new mini charging plaza in the new parking lot located on the corner of Williams and San Gorgonio (north of Super Subs). There are DCFS and level 2 chargers located in this parking lot, which provide charging capabilities to those visiting City Hall and the downtown area.

There are also EV chargers in the Farms’ House parking lot located on Joshua Palmer, which parallels the 10 FWY. This is a convenient place to charge at the Highland Springs offramp at the 10 FWY while stopping for a bite to eat or visiting the local shopping centers.

mcdonalsd chargerFor those visiting our local Mc Donalds on 2140 W Ramsey St, you can charge your EV while enjoying a Big Mac or McFlurry on a hot summer day. This fast charger is located in the southern end of the parking lot west of the restaurant.
