The new machine replaces the city’s old sweeper, which suffered equipment failure in November 2013.
The new truck, billed as the most reliable and the most environmentally friendly truck on the market, was purchased for $300,618.00 using Fund 132 Air Quality Improvement Funds and a grant from MSRC.
The Streets Division employees will spend some time getting hands on training and will begin operations citywide on May 23, 2016.
