Banning, CA – Marinita Development Co. and Sage Investco, in partnership with the City of Banning, are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of Chipotle, Mattress Firm (Sleep Train) and T-Mobile. A ribbon cutting will be held to celebrate the occasion on Thursday, October 12, between 10:00 am and noon at the north entrance of Banning's Sun Lakes Village Shopping Center.

“All three of these nationally known tenants were anxious to find a location within the City of Banning,” said J. Scott Fawcett, President of Marinita Development Co. “With the Phase I opening of the former K-Mart building offering tenants such as Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Party City and Big 5 Sporting Goods which was held last year, this Phase II celebration completes the expansion within the Sun Lakes Village Shopping Center.”

The Phase 1 businesses generated approximately 250 full-time and part-time local jobs and are continuing to perform well. Phase 2 businesses, encompassing 8,000 sq. ft. of the shopping center, will generate approximately 75 full-time and part-time jobs.

“We are thrilled to have these new businesses in our community,” said Mayor George Moyer. “This shopping center has been well-received by our residents and has been a tremendous boom to our City’s economy.”

The ribbon cutting is open to the public and all three businesses will be offering giveaways as part of the celebration. Refreshments will also be provided.
